Well done to everyone involved in the 3-2 win over Chester in the North West Cup semi final/league game double header on Saturday 28th March.
Chester have had an outstanding season so far, literally sweeping all opposition aside, but the spirit, desire and skill of our players and the astuteness of our manager Mr Baldwin and his staff shone through again to clinch a wonderful win.
Thanks to the players and staff at Chester who made a significant contribution to what was an excellent contest. Chester SFA have a marvellous, well deserved reputation in schools football and they were fabulous hosts to us this weekend. I am sure we will meet them again somewhere along the line.
The result means that we have booked our place in a prestigious cup final, details of which will appear on this page soon. We do know that the opposition will be either Liverpool or Sefton.
The three league points may also prove to be decisive as we are now catapulted into third place with three games in hand on the team in first place (Chester) who would have all but clinched the title had we not beaten them.
Look out for a full match report in Tuesday’s edition of the Bolton News. I will publish a link to that article on this page in due course.
Update: Training will take place on the Canon Slade astro turf between 4pm and 5.30pm on Thursday 2nd April. It would be great to see you if you can make it.
Have a superb Easter break.
Best wishes
Mr Jackson
